Cricket is the games for scores, hits, and records. Every time a batsman comes to the strike or bowler come to bowl, the audience waits for a new record to be framed. There are several records that have been framed in cricket. The records range from the bowling, fielding, batting, catches, runes, etc. But the most flaunting are the 6 sixes in an over, which is approached by many but achieved by few. These come out as the soul of the match and bring cheers on the faces of the audience and die-hard cricket lovers. There are few batsmen, who have done this and created history. Some of them were familiar to the cricket fans. So here is a list of those, who have made this record in a single go.
1. Sir Garfield Sober – Starting with the first to have done this, Sir Garfield Sober hit 6 sixes in an over in 1968. Playing as the captain of Nottinghamshire, sober marked the sixes against Malcolm Nash of Glamorgan. Interestingly, the 5 sixes were the clear shots, while the sixth was caught by Roger Davis but was standing beyond the boundary, which was considered as a six.
2. Ravi Shastri – Ravi Shastri, the legendary cricketer of India, shot 6 sixes in one over in 1985 while playing for Bombay against Baroda in Ranji trophy. He was playing against left-arm spinner Tilak Raj, when he shot the sixes and became the second in the history to hit 6 sixes in an over.
